Review: Very popular supersento in central Kyoto city. Busy as there are not many other supersento available in the area, and one of the few with a natural hot spring filled bath. It is trucked in spring water from Hotaru no Yu in Moriyama, Shiga, however. On my visit there years ago I don't remember the water being this good, especially after being trucked in or perhaps it was my feeling on the beautiful afternoon I visited. Either way, the spring was decent and over all the main baths were very relaxing dispute being busy and small. Main bath was around 39.5 (perhaps for summer) complimented by a good selection of jet baths. The cold-water bath is not too cold but extra popular. Try to manage your space. Steam bath was adequate. Amazing that there is no TV in the baths here as typically supersento like this have them. Maybe they want the bathers to get in and out quicker? This place was only opened in a few years ago but it already looks pretty beat up through heavy usage. Not really worth visiting considering the less crowded and cheaper sento nearby. Go to Hotaru for the spring if you want to try it. Visit Date: August 2021 *Hot Spring Data* (from Hotaru no Yu)Well Name: Moriyama Natural Hot Spring - 守山天然温泉Type: Simple Hot Spring - 単純温泉pH: 7.7Type: Weak alkaline - 弱アリカリ性Well Temperature: 30.6°CType: Warm spring - 低温線Osmotic Pressure: Low - 低張性

Review: Like most Kyoto sento, this one is also relatively small; however, this one is big enough to spread out a bit. The baths here are all actively filled and recycled by various fountains in the baths and from below, giving the whole place an energetic, rushing water feel. Water quality throughout the baths felt above average. There is a small 4-person-sized dry sauna with mats for use. Price unknown. Tattoos seem to be OK. Great option in the downtown area.Visit Date: August 2022

Review: Visited post-hike, so I was happy for any bath. Like many Kyoto sento, it was surprisingly small so managing all my hiking gear took patience and cunning. The unique name of this sento is not from a Disney film, but it comes from a German hot spring. The water is treated to mimic the mineral content of the aforementioned German spring. There's a nice cold water bath with a utase. The main bath has jets with somewhat determined seating. Space in the baths was hard to find with the group of kids there on the Sunday night I visited. That said, it's a lovely place, and the kid made it all the more enjoyable. If you've been watching the NHK morning drama "Come, Come, Everyone," the neighborhood really looks like the Kyoto one depicted in the show.
To sum up, the water treatment was remarkably unnoticeable. Still, that detriment was made up by the happy feeling of the place in general. But, again, it is really small so try to visit outside peak times.
