ReviewPlain city water in this clean new looking basic sento, but it was very clear and clean feeling. The outdoor bath has a strong chlorine smell. The outdoor bath is in a nice spot behind the building that would be refreshing in the summer. The sauna's thermometer mounted high on the wall said it was 110ºC in there. I thought it was nice and hot, but not sure if it was that hot. Also the cold water bath is filled from a tap high enough to stand under. Great for getting cooled off after the sauna. This is a brand new sento. The previous building was demolished and the family rebuilt next door. Although recently built the design is traditional where the family lives above the bathhouse area. You can see the house's front door to the left of the sento's entrance. The brand new feeling is interesting, but it's not yet decorated and needs a few plants or something to cheer up the space--the outdoor area in particular. Currently there is not much out there and it feels like the hot tub in a chain hotel in America. Not a bad thing, however strangely nostalgic.Everyone here knew each other. There was a conference of local Oji-sans going on in the changing room when I got out of the bath. The staff was very nice and I enjoyed being there. They also have a great selection of old style sodas that look like they have been around since the 60's without changing a thing. I had a sweet honey flavored one called Royal Pet.

ReviewSomewhat overpriced always busy supersento in a part of Kyoto with not much else to choose from. Clean, modern building. Quite attractive.

Review: This sento maximizes its useable space with a skinny, tight entrance, leaving room for an expansive changing room and bathing area. This is an excellent place for watching the local grandpas chat with each other. During my visit, there were more than a few examples of guys buying after-bath drinks for each other. The baths here are primarily in the center of the space, with showers along the side walls. The cold-water bath in the front right corner felt great after a sweaty summer hike. Great option in the area.Visit Date: August 2022

Review:Small local sento somewhat near the Arashiyama area. Out of the tourist area so it is pretty much just locals here. My hiking partner and enjoyed talking to the locals and using the well water cold bath.
