They do allow day use for the private family baths at about 1620 per person. As I didn't use those no idea on what they are like. Main bath has a very large indoor area and a smaller rock lined outdoor bath below it. There is a decent view of the river and bridge. Water is Gero Onsen water. I've always thought it was over hyped. The spring is naturally very hot, but the effect is minimal. Visit Date: June 2016
