ReviewGreat supersento halfway between downtown Hiroshima and Miyajima. The bathing area is all on the second floor and features a very large well designed outdoor area with a lot of plants. The spring was also very high quality. Highly recommended.

Review:Ho no Yu is a two outlet chain of supersento in Hiroshima city. I went to their other supersento years ago and went out of my way to try out their other outlet on my August 2020 trip to the city. Access is a bit tough with a 15min walk from the Hiroden Ujinanichome Station, however there are also busses to get you closer. This is a typical supersento complex that offers a 2-tiered entrance plan. The cheaper one gets you the normal baths only. For the sauna, cold-water and outdoor area, which includes the natural hot spring bath, the normal price must be paid. The spring water is only used in the main outdoor bath with a smaller hotter section pouring out into a larger normal temperature bath. The spring is colored and noticeable on the skin. It is a shame they only have it in this one bath. The two tub baths are filled with some sort of extra-hydrogenated water that I did not notice an effect. As they seem pretty popular, do not worry about not getting a turn in them. Overall an enjoyable sento, however I seem to remember the other outlet being a bit more fancy. Review:Strange, mysterious natural hot spring sento on the periphery of Hiroshima’s busy nightlife district. The sento is on the second floor of what appears to be an apartment building that also hosts a few bars. Inside it is quite small. A dry sauna is perched on a second floor overlooking the main baths. The two baths along the inner wall are filled with a very noticeable and somewhat salty heated spring water. The cold-water and medicated baths are both filled with normal municipal water, but they are also quite enjoyable. There is a sign asking patrons to not squeeze the bag of herbs that floats in the medicated bath, and there is no reason too! That is one of the strongest ginger smelling baths I have experienced. The color is also quite opaque. Not sure when the official holidays are here. They seem to change at the whim of the owners according to the state of the baths, however Sundays seem to be generally off. ReviewLocated in the middle of Hiroshima’s nightlife district is this basic capsule hotel. The bathing area was smallish but had a decent selection of baths and a really good sauna. Recommended if you’re looking for a place to spend the night, but for a bath only it might be a little steep considering there is a sento down the street.
August 2020 Update: I just ran by on a visit to Ondo Onsen to get a photo of the entrance here for this review. It looks like the place has been renovated, but since I did not go inside I am not sure.
