Review: Good views of the airport from the Osaka side of the bridge. Very simple baths. No jets, electric, or cold-water baths. This is made up by having an above-average natural spring, a lovely smelling mist sauna, and some great herb soaps to use. The fanciest of all the bathing options near KIX, you're paying for the atmosphere and spring water. If you're looking for a selection of baths, go elsewhere.

Review: Old sento being held together by tape and history. Very friendly atmosphere with the locals chatting and gossiping in the changing room. There was an interesting signboard on the wall between the men's and women's baths that looked like one you would see outside. I guess using outdoor fixtures for the wet, steamy bathhouses is a good idea. Good tile work incorporating the oval pebble type. I went there after a hike and was happy for the bath, but this sento is a lot worse for wear. So unless you are a sento enthusiast, I might avoid this one.

Review:The Inunaki Onsen is one of those springs that have a mysterious and ethereal feeling to it.This feeling is only enhanced by the the wood, concrete and glass that the spring is drawn into. Very much worth the time and effort to get here. Great place to end a hike too. Make sure to explore the river valley behind the bathhouse if you have time.

ReviewAnother secret bath far up in the mountains across from Kansai Airport. It's a bus ride up the mountain from Hineno Station. From the bus stop you have to walk along the narrow mountain road about 150 yards to the entrance to this hidden spot. In Inunakiyama Onsen there are many hot spring ryokan but only Yama no Yu allows day use. The building is stoic and industrial looking to say the least. Approaching it, I thought I was going to a factory or warehouse. The open and price sign assured me I was in the right place however. I think I went through the rear entrance actually. There might be another way in if you walk further up the road. After paying the attendant on the top floor then going back down to the bottom floor to the baths. Only one bath here and a few faucets. There are no jets or anything--this place is about the water. The water is just full of yu no hana which are minerals and whatnot that is coming up from the earth with the spring water. It felt great and it has that unique onsen smell to it. The view of the river from the bath was also nice. This is a great amazing hidden bath that any fan needs to check out.

Kansai Airport Onsen Hotel Garden Palace

Japanese Name: 関空温泉 ホテルガーデンパレスPrefecture: OsakaCity: IzumisanoAddress: 大阪府泉佐野市中町1-3-51Type: HotelWebpage: http://www.gardenpalace-spa.co.jp/Holiday: None
ReviewTwo different baths here. The one in the betsukan, father down the hall, is bigger and better. Nice shallow bath in relaxing dark brown and black. No real rotenburo, but there’s a nice atrium like area with a window that opens into a garden. The sauna is new, as of 2013, and has that great new sauna smell. The older second bath is much smaller and older with a garden view. Can get very crowded if a group of guests use either of the baths all at once. The water feels dry and powdery in the bath but smooth out after you get out. Great for relaxing before a flight, or washing off after a long flight. You can drink the spring water here. There’s a cooler in front of the elevators. In the baths there’s also the excellent Bayu shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. The hotel connected to these baths is basic, but clean and very comfortable. It has pickup and drop-off service to Kansai Airport, Rinku Premium Outlets, and nearby train stations.
No day use for this bath, you need to rent a room to use the facilities here but its a great option if you are flying in or out of KIX.

Review: Minamitei is one of the few ryokan hotels in Osaka's somewhat hidden Inunakiyama Onsen village tucked into the mountains overlooking Kansai Airport. It is one of the fancier places in the village. However, it still shares all the mystery and magic of Inuyakiyama Onsen. I call it mystery and magic, but, to be fair, some may find it just old and overgrown. It depends on how you see it. This area is pushing for foreign tourists, but I am still unsure how that will work out once the COVID restrictions are lifted.
I come here for hiking, the mysterious temple down the road from here, and the amazing water. Inunakisan is an onsen hot spring village, but the hot spring is not that hot. Instead, it is a 16-degree mineral spring heated and poured into the baths. The mineral water is fantastic and well worth making the trip. It is a squeaky feeling in the bath and leaves you powdery and soft after drying off. At the same time, you will only get a small selection of baths here. There are only some bubbles and an outdoor bath here, but again, you come here for the water and its magical qualities. I got a ticket on Asoview that includes a face towel and bath towel, making this bath well worth the above-average. Visit Date: June 2022 *Hot Spring Data*Spring Type: Bicarbonate spring - 炭酸水素塩泉Well Temperature: 16°CTemperature Type: Cold spring - 冷鉱泉pH Type: Alkaline - アルカリ性Osmotic Pressure: Low - 低張性Well Name: Inunaki #1 - 犬鳴1号

ReviewNagomi is a recently remodeled, bright and very clean sento within layover distance from Kansai Airport. From Rinku Town it's a 10 or 15 minute walk. Everyone was very cheerful. I loved the laminated news articles hung up in the rotenburo to read while soaking. The bathing areas were small, so you'll have to do a bit of dodging people or waiting for a bath (mostly the small cold water bath). The changing room does have more space however. I really enjoyed my afternoon bath here.
Update Winter 2018Still a great option for a quick bath on the way to or from KIX. Clean, friendly and the outdoor bath is a star.

Review: A municipal bathhouse run by Izumisano City. Basic but comfortable especially with the price. No cold-water bath or sauna but there is a shower with a temperature adjustment for cooling off. A short walk, under 20 minutes, from Kumatori station. Good to remember if going hiking down in south Osaka or for trips to Kansai airport. Being a municipal bathhouse, the cost is below the sento association price, so the cost/performance ratio is outstanding.

ReviewRinku no Yu is a smallish supersento located just across the bridge from Kansai Airport. It's in the shopping center with the giant Ferris wheel. The spring water is ok and somewhat noticeable, but not too special. Besides being very convenient to the airport, the great rotenburo that has a view of the airport makes this a place to try out.It is unsure if Rinku no Yu has a hot spring or not. According to one post on a Japanese review site they had either rename the spring from “natural hot spring” to “rock salt hot spring” to avoid city taxes. If this means they are adding salt and minerals to normal city water or still using their well is unclear. Rinku no Yu’s website makes no mention of 天然温泉 (natural hot spring).

[CLOSED] Hinode-yu

Japanese Name: 日の出湯Prefecture: OsakaCity: IsumisanoAddress: 大阪府泉佐野市上町3-1-16Type: Sento

Review*Closed* Second closest sento to Kansai International Airport. I was amazed how retro this place was. It was only 280 yen to get in! Lockers are all numbered in old kanji like 1 is壱. The urinal had no flush to it. It was just a porcelain receptacle. No way to run water. Inside there was one bath divided into a shallow and deep section and a cold water basin. So the bath was not much to talk about, but I liked the old building it was in and the feel of the place was rather friendly overall. This felt more like a sento that should be someplace far, far in the boondocks not right next to the largest airport in Kansai. Not a place for the sento beginner but I think some enthusiasts might enjoy it.
If you are coming in to KIX and you're looking for a bath check out Nagomi-yu instead
