Review: Suishun supersento are always very popular and offer an above-average quality in their facilities. The Suishun in the Aeon Mall complex in Kusastu does not deviate from that standard. That said, there is not much to make this one any more special than other supersento. While there is not much close-by completion that will keep people coming, I do not see any reason to go out of your way to visit this one. Mostly this is due to the ineffectual quality of the hot spring. I spent most of my time enjoying the steam and dry saunas here. Not bad, but nothing amazing.

Review: Amazing squeaky feeling well water heated kindly in the baths of this small sento. But that's not the only surprise; there was also a rock-lined bath in the rear corner with a waterfall filling it. There are also some bubbles, some simple jets, a cold-water bath, and a small sauna. The friendly owner explained that they dug a well, hoping for a hot spring, but they only got cool water. While this is not a "natural hot spring," the quality of this well water is outstanding. According to the owner, the water used to be drinkable, but now it's not allowed. As the only sento left here in Kusatsu, it is worth visiting. Including the high-quality water and friendly owner make it even more well worth getting out of the city to visit Sakura-yu. Oh! There are also some great '70s-era tiles.
Highly recommended.
